Any school or district that joins the Partnership can "bring their learning home with them" in the form of an online WebGuide. This Guide enables literacy coaches or other key personnel to provide professional development on site and as needed rather than relying on outside experts to come in. The WebGuide contains not only lesson plans for professional development workshops and meetings, but sample classroom activities and plans, and guidance to help administrators support teacher efforts.
 The Partnership for Literacy and WebGuide are products of the Center on English Learning & Achievement (CELA) at the University at Albany. For many years, CELA researchers and coaches have worked in partnership with teachers across the country to better understand how people become highly literate, what classroom strategies best foster that development, and what practices best support teacher change. Now we offer what we have learned to others.
